Introduction

Bharatanatyam, an oldest dance form originated in Tamil Nadu and it is prevailing many centuries. The most traditional art form globally is Bharatanatyam. Bharatanatyam is a very auspicious, elegant and yet most beautiful form of dance art which has all the parts of the dance form in its name by itself. Where "Bha" means Bhavam (expressions), "Ra" means Ragam (music) and "Natyam" means dance. This is combinations of music, dance and the most importantly the expressions and emotions. This dance is expressed beautifully not only to show love and devotion to God but also expresses every emotion through the mudhras.
